The Cabecars are located in Chirripó, the Pacuare Valley, the Estrella Valley and the Talamanca Reserve, zones in the Atlantic region, in Limón province; also at Ujarrás of Buenos Aires. It`s one of the largest indigenous groups that maintained their cultural identity, they speak Cabecar, and Spanish, retain many customs and traditions. They cultivate grains, coffee, and banana, complementing these activities with fishing and hunting.
